1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Slabworks' trading card restoration services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Service Description
Slabworks provides professional trading card restoration services, including but not limited to:
- Card cleaning and surface restoration
- Crease reduction and flattening
- Pre-grading preparation
- Other restoration services as agreed upon
3. Service Limitations
While we strive to provide the best possible restoration results, please understand that:
- Not all damage can be fully restored. The extent of restoration depends on the type and severity of damage
- We cannot guarantee specific grading outcomes, as grading is performed by third-party grading companies
- Some damage may be permanent and cannot be reversed
- Results may vary based on the card's original condition and materials
4. Payment Terms
Payment terms will be agreed upon before work begins. Generally:
- Quotes are provided based on photos and information you submit
- Final pricing may be adjusted based on actual condition assessment upon receipt of cards
- Payment is typically required before work begins or as otherwise agreed
- All prices are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise specified
5. Shipping and Handling
You are responsible for:
- Properly packaging and insuring cards when shipping to us
- Shipping costs to send cards to our facility
- Payment of return shipping costs
We recommend using tracked and insured shipping for all card shipments. Slabworks is not responsible for cards lost or damaged in transit unless we are at fault.
Shipping timelines may be impacted by carrier service disruptions, including labor actions (such as Canada Post strikes or lockouts), weather events, or peak-season volume. In these cases, delivery and return shipping may take longer than estimated.
6. Liability and Disclaimer
Limitation of Liability: While we take every precaution to protect your cards, Slabworks' liability is limited to the value of the restoration service fee paid. We are not responsible for:
- Loss or damage during shipping (unless caused by our negligence)
- Cards that cannot be restored to your desired condition
- Grading outcomes from third-party grading companies
- Market value changes of cards
No Warranty: Our services are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, except as required by applicable Canadian law.
7. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your cards and their condition
- Ensure you have the legal right to have the cards restored
- Pay all fees as agreed upon
- Provide accurate return shipping information
8. Intellectual Property
Any photos, documentation, or other materials created by Slabworks during the restoration process may be used for marketing and promotional purposes, unless you specifically request otherwise in writing.
9. Cancellation and Refunds
If you wish to cancel a service:
- Contact us as soon as possible before work begins
- If work has already begun, refunds will be prorated based on work completed
- Shipping costs are non-refundable
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
